Pneumatic jacks are generally known as pallet lift trucks or pump trucks and are widely utilized in warehouses and delivery facilities to transport resources on pallets. Pneumatic lift trucks comprises a set of metal forks installed on a wheeled counterweight that contains a pump. The pump is used to lift and lower the forks.
Visually inspect the pallet lift before loading. Make sure the wheels are clear of any impending obstructions. In addition, ensure the handle moves easily and turns properly. Inspect the pallet before moving it to determine if it is stacked in a way that minimizes the chance of anything falling off during lifting. Release any air in the pump and drop the forks to the ground by squeezing the lever installed on the inside of the metal loop on the end of the handle. Run the blades into the slots in the pallet and make sure the forks are centered so that the palletsâ?? weight is evenly distributed.
By pumping the pneumatic jack lever the blades will ascend from the floor. Once there is full clearance, you can discontinue pumping as there is no need to elevate the hoist anymore. To move the pallet lift, you can lug the handle behind you. It is not recommended to push the pallet vehicle. There will be a huge amount of momentum present. Avoid quick or sharp turns and do not stop too suddenly. Gently bring the pallet to a rest where you would like to park it. Squeeze the lever inside the grip end to restore the forks to the floor. Withdraw the forks and return the pallet lift to a fitting parking area or continue onto the next task.
